Ben 'Superman' Spies - Heads on Favorite 2010!!!

Well here it is the MotoGP world championship (see below) after the rain drenched shortend Indianapolis Grand Prix. (Decided not to go at the last minute - what a stroke of luck!)

Anyway Mr. Spies, after racing in only three(3) Moto GP's is in 19th position in the World Championship. Riding a strange bike and on circuits, one (1) of which he has raced at before (Laguna Seca), one (1) he hasn't (Donington) and one (1) nobody has (Indianapolis) in extremes of conditions!!!!

So if he had ridden the other eleven(11)races and averaged the points he got in the races he competed in he would now have 93 points, i.e. 9th in the Championship just behind Mr.Haydon.

Of course this does not take into account that:

a. The Points Mr. Spies would have got would have diluted the points other riders would have got so elevating him up the standings.

b. After each and every race he would have become more familiar with the very 'difficult' bike compared to the AMA Superbike he normally rides further elevating his position.

c. After each and every race he would have become more familiar with his pit crew again further elevating his position and

d. He would be developing his circuit knowledge across the World.

So all in all when Mr. Spies has completed his first (1st) full year on the Moto GP scene I would suggest that if that year is 2009 he would be a strong heads on favorite to be the next US born Moto GP champion in 2010. Watch this space.

Key of course don't rush, don't crash, don't break the bike and hopefully the needed 'luck' will be on his side to close the deal.

I'm placing my bet for him winning in 2010 this weekend!!!!!
