NorthWest 200 (NW200)

Well the NW200 starts today. Great racing and the precursor to the IoM TT in June.
check out all the action on the BBC website:

If you like close and VERY exciting racing the North West is the place to be!

Unfortunately Martin Finnegan, another one of those great Irish road racers preparing for the TT was killed Saturday May 3rd while racing in the Tandragee 100 in Northern Ireland. Apparently Ryan Farquhar who was competing in the 600 Supersport race with him said that Finnegan's rear tire on his Yamaha was covered in oil prior to the fatal accident. He won an earlier race that day - very sad. Three spectators were injured also but fortunately none seriously. Finnegan was 29 and leaves a wife and child.
