The travelling Guinness clock pamphlet

Just obtained the rather nice pamphlet about the Guinness crazy travelling clock that did the rounds in the US being a replica of the original for the Festival of Britain Pleasure Gardens at Battersea, London in 1951.

Ducati 900SL

I'm debating whether to donate my 1992 Superlight to the Barber Museum, after owning it 21 years it only sits in the shed and it is so nice to look at. It does run and I take it out occasionally but not road legal here in the US. Thinking of using it as a track bike too.
 Glasgow plate.

look at those Marvic wheels and fully floating cast iron discs.

New Plates

Well fortunate to be able to get personal plates for the '75 RD350, '76 RD400 and the '78 DT400 Yams.  Love them.  Looking for a '79 RD400F/Daytona and a '77 RD400D to complete the Yam collection.

Reading motorcycles

Stumbled across this bit of trivia by accident. The company I am employed by is based in Readng, PA. I noted, while looking through one of my bike books, that Reading had a motorcycle manufacturer in the early 20th Century. They were quite innovative being the first bike company to use a side valve engine.  They were bought out by the Cleveland motorcycle company who dropped the Reading name prior to Cleveland themselves failng because of the 1929 Wall Street crash.

1978 Yamaha DT400E with only 3,900 miles - acquired this week from Oregon.

Rode this for the first time around the garden last night.  What a beauty. Brought back great memories from the late 70's when I rode my DT125D dual shock.  Just the same but with three times more power and tremendous fun.  Brilliant.

Guinness Guides

Got another guide, can't resist. Now have copies from 1935, 39, 48 and 52. One had a surprise within namely a letter from 1951 signed by Guinness' MD at the time, A H Hughes.
